Cerium Metal Introduction
Cerium is a soft, silvery, ductile, highly elastic rare earth metal that quickly oxidizes in the air. It is chemically reactive and oxidizes very soon in contact with air and water. Commercial applications of cerium include catalysts, additives to fuel to reduce emissions, and in glass and enamels to change their color. Cerium Metal is an additive for special steel, non-ferric alloy, hydrogen storage alloy, and reducer for making other rare earth metals.
AEM REE supplies different purity cerium metal and powder. We also have other cerium products like cerium oxide, cerium oxide polishing powder, cerium carbonate, etc. We also provide extensive rare earth elements products. Contact us for queries and orders.

Application of Cerium Metal
1. Cerium is suited to produce catalyzers and to polish the gas.
2. It is the major component of mischmetal alloy (just under 50%) used in “flints” for cigarette lighters because cerium will make sparks when struck.
3. Used in aluminum and iron alloys, stainless steel as a precipitation hardening agent to make permanent magnets.
4. Also used in flat-screen TVs, low energy light bulbs, and floodlights.
Packaging of Cerium Metal
1. Packed in iron drums, lined with a single layer of plastic bags and protected by argon, each barrel weighs 50kg or 250kg.
2. According to the customers’ requirements, we can provide custom products and packaging.
